Who we are

For over 35 years, we have been providing events and camps for thousands of youth, adults, families, and churches throughout the Pacific Northwest.  In fact, there is a whole lot more than the word "camp" suggests.  Our unique retreat and conference center is host to over 300 groups and 20,000 people every year.  Aside from our popular summer camps, our wide variety of programs and facilities are available for Christian churches, non-profit organizations, and families.  Every week we host retreats and conferences for local, regional, and national guest rental groups.  We are conveniently located in Auburn, Washington--just 40 minutes south of Seattle & Bellevue and 40 minutes north of Tacoma.  Our easy to reach location, variety of accommodations & meeting rooms for large or small groups, and year-round recreation facilities make us the Northwest's premiere Christian Camp and Conference Center.

 

Camp Berachah affirms the ministry purpose of reaching out through Christian camps, retreats, and conferences to the church and those who do not yet know Christ as their personal Savior.  All of the focus and energy of this ministry will be centered on the relationship of each individual to Jesus Christ.  Camp programs will provide tools to the local church, para-church organizations, and other non-profit groups and individuals who accept the Statement of Faith and Ministry Purpose of Camp Berachah Ministries.

 

Camp Berachah was named as a place of blessing for God's people to visit for rest, recreation, and growing in their faith.  Today Camp Berachah hosts groups and individuals for conferences, retreats, events, lessons, and camps.  In 1985, we asked people to "Catch the Vision" that was Camp Berachah; it began a period of new development and expansion.  Today, we are carrying on that vision, and have begun a new five year plan to "Capture the Future" by adding facilities and programs that will meet the Christian camping and conference needs of future generation.  Please take a few moments and navigate through our web pages, which will give you information on rentals, upcoming programs and events, summer camps and equestrian lessons. History

Camp Berachah began in the sixties as a Christian “commune”; it later became a community of believers and their families, and in 1973 was purchased by Philadelphia Church in Seattle who began to use it as a Christian camp. In 1990, a new organization, Camp Berachah Ministries, was formed, and in 1999 the property was purchased from the church and became an independent ministry.  God played a part in each phase of history to protect the land as “set aside” for ministry and for the purpose of reaching out to all ages with the good news of Jesus Christ. Thousands of people have spent restful time on the grounds and had their lives changed and touched by God.  Today, Camp Berachah reaches over 20,000 people and over 300 groups each year as one of the largest Christian camps & conference centers in the Northwest. As an independent ministry, individuals and families form a supporting network of prayer and giving that is part of God’s provision and plan.

Ministry Purpose

Camp Berachah has the ministry of providing a refuge place for people to experience the awareness of God, enjoy spiritual rest, and fellowship with others.  Camp Berachah provides programs for individuals of all ages to promote spiritual growth through sound teaching, a Christ-like witness, fellowship, and outdoor recreation that demonstrates Christian attitudes and behavior.  Camp Berachah uses facilities and programs to promote unity within the church and reach out to those who don't know Christ as their personal Savior.

 

Ministry Statement

Camp Berachah Ministries provides facilities and programs for people to experience rest, grow in their Christian faith, and enjoy fellowship with God's people. Camp Berachah offers programs for all ages that: teach God's Word, provide recreation and models God's love and grace to all who come. Camp Berachah will provide a Christian camp and conference experience to churches and individuals, and reach out to the lost.

 

Our Statement of Faith

Camp Berachah accepts the Christian Camp and Conference Association's Statement of Faith.  "We believe in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct; the Triune God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory; the Person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration, and sanctification, who indwells every believer, equipping them with gifts for service and witness; the necessity of new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and the importance of life fully committed to the will of God in Christ; and the churches the one universal body of Christ who is Head, called to be God's redeemed people."

 

 

Organization & Structure

Camp Berachah Ministries is an independent non-denominational ministry.  Organization and oversight is through the Camp Board of Directors.  Accountability of ministry is through a group of Advisory Churches and membership in Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA), Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), Certified Horsemanship Association, and we participate as a member of the local chamber of commerce chapters.
