Volunteer at Camp Berachah & Buck Creek
Camp Berachah Ministries is blessed each year by the volunteers who donate time at our two sites. In 2011, we will have over 32,000 hours of volunteer work which includes maintenance, grounds, therapeutic riding and hippotherapy, food service, administration and summer program support. Every volunteer hour helps preserve our precious resources which can be used for improvements and upgrades. With the economic challenges since 2008, volunteeers have provided much needed help to Berachah each year and allowed us to continue to serve and minister to groups and families that visit our two sites each year.

Berachah at Buck Creek
Berachah at Buck Creek is our wilderness camp located in the Cascade Mountains, a short drive from Mt Rainier and a quick drive from most of Puget Sound. Qualified volunteers are needed year-round to help with facility and grounds maintenance, kitchen and dining hall service and summer camp activities. Check out the website at www.buckcreekcamp.org.

Special Needs Volunteers
We have many children with special needs who attend Camp each summer. Some of those needs include ADHD, hearing impairments, mental impairments, behavior disorders, down syndrome, autism/asperger syndrome, and physical disabilities that require accommodation. Responsibilities include providing 1 on 1 attention and making sure that the camper is functioning as well as being part of the group. Must be 18 or older.
Volunteer Camp Counselors
Counselors have primary responsibilities for the nurture, safety, and overall experience of their assigned campers. Counselors may work with Special Needs Kids, Day Campers, Horsemanship Campers, and Resident Campers. Must be 18 or older.
Year Round Volunteers
Therapeutic Side Walkers
Camp Berachah relies on dedicated volunteers to assist with our therapeutic & hippo-therapy riding program for special needs students. Volunteer side walkers aide the safety of the student during their lesson by ensuring they stay balanced on the saddle while riding. The volunteer must be in good health; able to walk long distances and be comfortable working around horses and special needs children or adults. Volunteers must be 14 or older and training by Berachah staff is mandatory before placement.
Workampers
Adult RV Workampers can volunteer in areas such as: maintenance, security, stores, kitchen, office and house keeping. Volunteer 16 hours per week in exchange for RV space, full hookup and meals. Interested applicants should complete an online application from our website.
Food Service
There is a year-round need for qualified volunteers to work in the kitchen, helping to prepare meals; and in the dining hall, setting up, serving and cleaning. Interested applicants should complete an online application from our website.
Administration
Volunteers can help with administration work year-round - tasks include phone calls, filing, and bulk mailings. Interested applicants should complete an online application from our website.
Work Crews
Every year Camp Berachah Ministries relies on church groups & business groups to volunteer their time for work projects. These volunteers help ready our camp facilities for a summer of ministry to kids & adults of all ages. Work crews help with grounds work, painting, cleaning and building projects.
